About these terms
This page sets out the terms on which Freedom Flights (“we”, “us”) publishes content at freedomflights.co.uk, together with our privacy notice, cookies policy and the disclosures we are obliged or choose to make. The terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. By using the site you agree to be bound by them.
Editorial content and accuracy
The content on this site is general editorial commentary on flights, airlines and travel destinations, written by a UK-based editorial team. We take reasonable care to ensure that information is accurate at the time of publication, but airline routes, fare ranges, baggage policies, visa rules and similar details change frequently. Always verify current information directly with the airline, the relevant embassy or the appropriate official source before booking or travelling. Nothing on this site constitutes a guarantee of any specific price, route availability or service quality.
Where we quote fares, they are described as indicative ranges drawn from our own observation of typical pricing patterns. They are not offers, quotes or promises, and the airlines themselves are the only authoritative source for current fares.
No medical, legal or financial advice
Nothing published on Freedom Flights constitutes medical advice, legal advice, financial advice or professional advice of any other regulated kind. References to visa rules, travel insurance, currency or similar matters are general editorial commentary only. For advice on your specific circumstances, consult an appropriately qualified professional.
Affiliate and sponsorship disclosure
Freedom Flights does not currently participate in the major flight-booking affiliate networks and does not earn commission on bookings made via links from this site to airline websites.
The site is funded in part by an annual sponsorship arrangement with Max Travel, a Pristina-based travel agency. Links to Max Travel on this site are editorial recommendations made by our team; the sponsorship arrangement does not give Max Travel any input into our editorial coverage or the destinations and carriers we choose to write about. The relationship is disclosed in the body of any page that links to them, and is described in fuller detail on our about page.
From time to time we may publish content sponsored by other travel agencies, tourism boards or related organisations. Any such content will be clearly marked as sponsored or partnered, and we apply the same editorial principle: we will only accept arrangements where we would have recommended the partner regardless.
Privacy notice
This site is operated from the UK and processes personal data in accordance with the UK General Data Protection Regulation and the Data Protection Act 2018. The data controller is the editorial team of Freedom Flights, reachable via the contact email below.
We collect minimal personal data. The categories we process are:
- Server logs recording your IP address, browser user-agent, the page you requested and the time of the request. These are retained for up to 30 days for security and traffic-analysis purposes.
- Analytics data processed via a privacy-respecting analytics tool that does not set tracking cookies and does not transmit personal data to third-party advertising networks.
- Email correspondence when you contact us directly, retained for as long as is necessary to respond to your enquiry and for a reasonable period thereafter for our records.
We do not sell personal data, we do not share it with advertising networks, and we do not transfer it outside the UK or EEA other than where necessary for the operation of standard web infrastructure (such as content-delivery networks).
Under UK GDPR you have the right to request access to any personal data we hold about you, to request correction or deletion of that data, to object to processing, and to lodge a complaint with the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO). To exercise any of these rights, contact us via the email address below.
Cookies
Freedom Flights uses a small number of strictly necessary cookies required for the basic operation of the website (session handling, security and similar functions). We do not use advertising cookies, third-party tracking cookies, or social-media tracking pixels.
If you prefer not to accept cookies, most browsers allow you to disable them in your settings. Disabling strictly necessary cookies may affect the functionality of the site.
Intellectual property
The editorial content on Freedom Flights is the copyright of the editorial team unless otherwise indicated. Images sourced from Wikimedia Commons, Unsplash or other Creative Commons libraries are credited in the relevant caption and used in accordance with their respective licences. Brief quotation of our content with proper attribution and a link back is welcome; wholesale republication is not.
Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Freedom Flights accepts no liability for any loss or damage arising from reliance on the content of this site, including (without limitation) loss arising from changes to airline routes, fares, baggage policies, visa rules or any other practical travel detail discussed in our articles. The site is provided on an “as is” basis.
Nothing in these terms limits or excludes any liability that cannot legally be limited or excluded under the law of England and Wales, including (for example) liability for personal injury caused by negligence or for fraudulent misrepresentation.
